Ziploc Your Phones

While there are waterproof phone cases for most models, these tend to be expensive, and there is always the worry that they won’t work. So, what is a cheap and reliable way to keep phones safe? Just stick them in a Ziploc. Ziploc bags are waterproof, and if you are worried about tearing them, it is easy to bring extras along.

Grab the Baby Powder

What is the most irritating part of going to the beach? The sand. Sure, it is a big part of why you go to the beach, but when you are ready to leave, it is everywhere, and you just cannot get rid of it. But with baby powder, you can. Just sprinkle it where needed and then dust it and the sand off without trouble.

Disguise Your Money

While the beach is free, the food and drinks and rentals are not. This means you will need to bring some money along. But where do you put it? While there are products for bringing your money right into the ocean without ruining it, you can get creative about hiding it in plain sight. Some ways people do this are by placing inside a rolled up diaper, making it look like a dirty one, or inside of a pad wrapper.

Flip Your Sandals Over When Not in Use

If you just take your sandals off and leave them right-side up, they will get burning hot, making it impossible to put them on. But by just turning them over, you ensure that your sandals will be safe and comfortable to wear as soon as you are out of the water.

Another related trick is to turn your steering wheel so the bottom is the top, allowing you to right it when you are ready to leave and avoid burning your hands.

Spray Your Hair with Leave-In Conditioner

Salty water can really dry out your hair, but few of us want to wear a swim cap at the beach. To protect your locks, use a leave-in conditioner, and bring it along to reapply after each trip into the water. Not only will your hair be protected, but it will make it easier to get the tangles out.
