Cute DIY Gift Bag – Perfect for Valentines Day!! #TBCCrafters

This super cute gift bag can be made in less than 15 minutes and is inexpensive.  It is perfect for giving a Valentines Day treat or a special birthday gift.  I love that I can personalize each bag to the person to whom I am giving a gift.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Scissors
• Hole Puncher
• Glue Runner or Scotch Tape
• Confetti Filler
• Small Paper Bag with Handles
• Curling Ribbon (thin enough to fit into diameter of hole punch)
• Decorative Stickers and/or markers

You can add or subtract items to your own personal creativity.

First, Cut the paper bag about 2/3 from the top.  Then cut the handles off the top of the bag and place the top portion that you cut into the bottom of the bag.  This will keep your bag open and taut.

Next, use your hole punch and punch out holes in a horizontal line (about 1/4″ from the top of the bag) and equal in length.  Weave the ribbon in and out through the holes all the way around the bag.  Once the ribbon ends meet you can curl the ends and add a decorative touch.  I always start the ribbon on a corner side and glue a decal on to secure it.  You can also make a bow tie.

The next step is to decorate the bag.  I usually use stickers, decals, markers, and custom labels for my bags but you can use whatever materials you choose.

After you have decorated the bag, add the confetti paper to the bottom of the bag as a cushion (and it looks cute).

Lastly, add your gifts and you are done!
