Soccer a huge worldly sport {BKA football everywhere except here in the states} also has it’s star players and they also have hobbies when they’re not playing. Football is Denmark’s national sport. With over 300,000 players and 1,500 clubs registered in the country, it just goes without saying that the sport is loved by everyone. The local sports center on the outskirts of town is always busy filled with both children and adults playing in the field for more football “soccer” action. How’s that for a national sport?

Interesting to note for fans of both football and poker, retired Danish football player named Jon Vang Sorensen is now hitting the poker tables after sustaining a knee injury that ended his career. He learned playing poker during his travels for his football career. He’s also considered to be a seven-card stud specialist. He’s won two bracelets at the World Series of Poker too. If you also want to take your shot at poker, there are several online websites like Partypoker for all your poker needs. They also have helpful tutorials and useful strategies that can help you ace your game. There’s no need to go to the Casino Aalborg or Casino Copenhagen just to get your fill of gambling. All you have to do is take out your laptop from your bag, go to the game’s website, and play right away. It’s also available on Android if you want to play your poker games while you’re on the go.

Also in Denmark, there’s a Football Festival that invites young and talented football players from all around the world to join in the Aarhus for the 11th edition of the tournament taking place on July 23 to 28 of this year. They will be offering a true international youth football event for all. With 37 countries participating since 2003, this year’s event will be much bigger and better.

The main idea behind the Football Festival is that all of the matches, accommodation, food, social activities, and events will take place within a concentrated area that’s near the city center of Aarhus. And of course, people will get the chance to enjoy the culture of Denmark and what the country has to offer.

Do you or your kids play football (soccer) and do they hope to go play in another country?
