I admit to having a slight addiction to Washi tape.  I just cannot pass by a display in the store without picking up an extra roll or three for my craft box.  Washi tape has many different uses but I most often find myself making note cards with Washi tape. There are many different Washi tape cards you can make from easy to difficult. This is one of my favorites.

Easy Washi Tape Card

This easy Washi tape card is one that I sent to my Grandmother who is in a nursing home. We don’t get to visit her since she is in another state so I try to remember to send her a note card to say hello and keep in touch. I started with a blank note card and envelope.  You can make your own note card from cardstock if you don’t have note card blanks already.

Supplies:

  • Blank note card and coordinating envelope
  • Washi tape in a variety of different colors and designs
  • A quote or cute embellishment
  • Scissors
  • Glue or glue dots

Directions:

  • Cut the Washi tape in different lengths and notch the edges so there is a triangle missing in the center of each.
  • Attach them to the note card in a pattern across the top.
  • Attach the embellishment to the card with glue or glue dots. Allow it to dry.

Now take a few minutes out of your busy day and write someone a letter. You could turn this note card into a birthday card or thank you card by using a different embellishment.

How wonderful. I loved this craft. Homemade is so much better, in these days where everyone is sending emails I have to admit I love to open my mailbox to get a card. I send them all the time and cannot wait to create this. Really wonderful! Thank you for sharing.
