When working from home, it can be easy to slide into bad habits. You have comfy furniture that you just don’t want to pull yourself away from, the ability to dedicate extra hours to work since you have no commute, and fully-stocked kitchen to feast from. To make the most of your time and energy, you need to know how to stay healthy when working from home.
But you do not want to turn the privilege of working from home into a problem for your health. Here are a few things you can do to keep yourself healthy as you work from home
Can you work from your couch? Yes, but don’t make a regular habit of it. When you allow your work and personal spaces to blend, you invite stress into moments of your life that should be spend relaxing and feeling stress-free. Do your best to create an area dedicated to working and keep it separate from other parts of the home.
If you wait until the end of the day, it is easy to decide you are too tired and to skip working out—or that those 30-60 minutes would be better spent working. However, if you frame your workouts as short breaks that you can take during the day, they become more tempting, and they stop you from sitting for too long.
It is easy to feel tempted to eat throughout the day since there is plenty of food readily available to you. However, you do not want to keep the house bare of food to reduce temptation. Instead, keep healthy snacks around so you can satisfy your cravings without being unhealthy.
Finally, don’t push yourself to work beyond typical working hours unless you are giving yourself plenty of breaks throughout the day. It is easy to tell yourself that it is no big deal to sneak in a few extra minutes or hours in the morning, evening, and on the weekends. But you can easily overwork yourself and burnout by doing this. It is better for your health and happiness that you treat this job the way you would any other

I tend to over work. I take on too many assignments and then have to get them all done.
