What is a blog ambassador? Essentially, they are bloggers who are willing to mention and promote your blog through the channels they are active on on a long-term basis. This could mean featuring you in a blog post, creating a video recommending your product, sharing your social media content, representing you at conferences, and more. The goal of this relationship is to get your name out there and drive traffic towards your site by partnering with a blogger for a longer time period.
You do not want to select just anyone to be your blog ambassador. Below are a few qualities you should look for in the person you select.
You want to look for ambassadors who can authentically recommend your product or service. Why? Because their audience is most likely to be interested in your content. Look at the other types of content they promote to be sure the partnership is authentic.
In order to drive traffic toward you, they need to be receiving enough traffic themselves. Look for ambassadors who post regularly (2-3 times a week) and engage with their audience using social media.
Critically examine how each potential ambassador markets themselves. Are they creating engaging content? Do they frequently share posts that grab your attention? Do they get lots of comments on their posts? If an ambassador is not good at marketing themselves, they won’t be good at marketing your blog.
