Walk Whenever Possible

If you cannot walk to work, there are still ways you can get in some daily movement. Park at the far end of the lot, take the stairs instead of the elevator, take the long way to get to the bathroom or breakroom: All of these are small changes you can make that will ultimately make a big difference.

Skip the Snacks and Eat Three Solid Meals Instead

Okay, so you have probably heard that six small meals are better than three large ones; so why would we recommend this? Because most people approach the six small meals wrong. Rather than consuming small, balanced meals, they treat these meals as snacks, which tend to be unhealthy. Not to mention that once you start snacking, it can be hard to stop.

Do Isometric Exercises

These exercises work your muscles without you needing to leave your desk. In essence, you squeeze and hold your muscles to work them as you work. The exercises are quick and easy, and can also help you focus when your mind gets too busy.

Try Standing

There are lots of adjustable desks and podiums on the market. Purchase one for yourself so you can alternate between sitting and standing during the day. This small change will make a huge difference in the strength of your core muscles as well as a reduction in lower back pain
