The last time I was on here sharing a fun craft project it was Angry Birds. I thought I should keep with that tradition … not really, but my kids are still mad about them, so I thought that one more fun craft wouldn’t hurt, this time though my daughter insisted on Bad Piggies.
What you need:
- Cardboard (or a round cake board, which is what I used)
- Green card stock or scrapbook paper (in 3 shades)
- Black and white card stock
- Gold glitter card stock
- Blue glitter glue
- Glue stick
- Wood tongue depressor
How to make:
If you are using a piece of cardboard instead of a round cake board then you will need to begin by placing a plate on the cardboard, tracing around it and cutting it out.
Use the round cardboard as your template for cutting out the main piece of green card stock too. Glue it on.
Next, you need to cut out the facial features for your Bad Piggies and glue them down too. I found it easier to sketch them onto paper first and then cut them out once I was happy with them.
Once you have finished cutting and gluing all facial features to your Bad Piggies, glue the tongue depressor to the back of the cardboard.
Now you have a fun photo prop, or costume mask that your kids will love. These would also be a great craft project for Angry Birds birthday parties, just pre-cut all of the pieces and let the kids glue it all together.
They’ll be asking me to make all of the Angry Birds characters next.
